Greetings to our cherished parents, guardians, and remarkable community of learners, I am Mrs. Jalia Dekyi, and it is with great honor and a heart full of joy that I welcome you to Wonder World International School. In the nurturing ground of WWIS, where dreams take roots, we witness a harmonious blend of the rich educational philosophies drawn from various corners of the world. My journey through different educational systems across a myriad of countries has instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse learning styles. It has gifted me a vision - a vision to foster a learning environment that is not just rich in knowledge but steeped in values, fostering holistic growth in our learners.
At WWIS, we stand tall on a curriculum that is a unique blend of the Ghanaian, British, and American educational spheres, further enriched with the Montessori approach for our preschool prodigies. This integrated approach is not merely a curriculum; it is a commitment to nurturing global citizens who are ready to champion change with integrity and excellence.
Our journey since 2017 has been one of transformation, resilience, and untiring spirit to rise above challenges, including the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. It has been a journey where each hurdle strengthened our resolve to forge ahead with unwavering determination.
As we stride forward, we are guided by core values that are more than just words; they are principles embedded in the heart of our educational ethos: • Global Leadership, developing in our students an understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures. • Integrity, teaching them to be principled and honest individuals. • Values-based Education, cultivating respect and empathy in young minds. • Excellence, encouraging them to aspire for the highest standards. • Service, nurturing a spirit of generosity and social responsibility. • Teamwork, fostering collaborative spirits and a sense of community. • Accountability, instilling self-discipline and a commitment to ethical behavior. • Respect, promoting a culture of understanding and appreciation for diverse perspectives.
I invite each one of you to become an active participant in this remarkable journey. Let us work hand in hand, believing in the transformative power of education, as we nurture our students to be not just scholars but individuals with great hearts, ready to serve and uplift society.
Together, let’s build a community where every child is a global champion, a beacon of hope, integrity, and excellence. I invite you to trust us, to believe in our vision, and to work collaboratively to shape a future that is bright not just for our learners, but for society as a whole. Thank you for entrusting us with the most precious gift, your children, the global leaders of tomorrow.
Together, towards a future replete with joy, discovery, and unparalleled growth. With warm regards,
We believe students learn best when they feel safe, valued and happy. Our staff is committed to providing an environment that nurtures personal growth and self-esteem. All members of the school community have rights and responsibilities and these are best ensured when agreed policies procedures are accepted and followed. Students are ever learning developing appropriate ways to interact with others. The school and its community (Parents staff and resource personals) share the responsibility to assist students in learning appropriate behaviors’.
WWis started off as a summer camp fun site in July 2017 for students to be engaged over their long term break. It was one of the best summer camps in the country; parents and students all over the city wanted to be part off. We had about 20-25 students join us from different international and private schools all over Accra. From the very beginning parents asked if we had branches in different parts of the country. Our camps were filled with fun learning interactive activities that were very helpful and transformed the students as they prepared for their next academic grades in their various schools. We saw the impact we had made in the students’ lives over a short period of time and could not wait for the next summer. In October 2017 Wonder World was transformed from a fun site to a daycare center. We took in our first set off of students. We started off with three students for one term and we did it joyfully and looked forward to the day we will cater to three hundred and more students. The early experience set the stage for how we care for our children creating a fun safe learning environment.
In 2020 our student population reached 15 students, we’ve had our fair share of struggles with growth but we know it’s a long journey to success and we are enjoying and learning from every stage of our growth . The growth has been steady and with the hit of Covid-19 we did not give up but launched our online school worldwide which catered for students all over the world. Most Schools had not been able transition from classroom teaching to online teaching but within two to three weeks we were engaging not only our students but students from Nigeria and United Kingdom. We run online school for students who have not yet fully transitioned fully to classroom learning.

Each point succinctly captures the core meaning and significance of the various concepts, providing a clear, brief overview.
Our Pedagogy (Unique Approach to Learning) We have pioneered a WWIS Hybrid Curriculum combining the strengths of the Ghanaian, British, and American educational systems, paired with the Montessori approach for our preschoolers. This inclusive educational framework empowers our students to excel academically, fostering critical thinking and enabling them to lead with integrity in a globalized world
Adaptive Learning Experience By merging various educational philosophies, we provide a diverse learning landscape that prepares students to adapt easily to different teaching styles, fostering a seamless transition as they progress to higher educational levels.
Our curriculum is designed to nurture well-rounded individuals who are grounded in their local context while being globally competent, able to appreciate different cultures and perspectives which are essential in today’s interconnected world.
For our youngest learners, the Montessori method plays a pivotal role. This learner-centric approach encourages curiosity, independence, and a love for learning from an early age, forming a strong foundation for future academic success.
As students move from grade 9 to higher classes, they find themselves better equipped to face the varied teaching methodologies they might encounter. Our multifaceted curriculum ensures they are prepared to excel academically, no matter where their educational journey takes them.
Drawing from the rich Ghanaian cultural and ethical background, we instill in our students a deep sense of community, respect for diversity, and a commitment to societal wellbeing.
